Circle L Solar History
Founded in 2016, Circle L Solar started as an energy efficiency company installing all things energy efficiency related. From light-emitting diode (LED) light bulbs to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to complete home and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, Circle L Solar established itself as an expert in renewable energy and efficiency maximization. In 2018, Circle L Solar shifted its focus to 3 major green energy sectors; solar PV systems, battery energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging. This minor shift in company objectives was to ensure we provide our customers with the best-in-class relationships, installations, and services available as the green/renewable energy movement continues to grow throughout the US and the entire world. Circle L Solar prides itself on positive customer experience with second-to-none service and support.
Since 2016, Circle L Solar has experienced tremendous growth with over 3000 residential projects and numerous commercial projects.
Circle L Solar is vertically integrated, allowing all projects to be managed from sales to designs & permits, to installation and continued support all under the control of Circle L Solar’s amazingly talented team.

David Lee
Chief Executive Officer
David Lee is the CEO and managing partner of Circle L Solar and Circle L Roofing. Prior to his current role, David spent 3 years managing a software and robotics team for Greystone Data Technology providing software and automation to many major companies in the mobile device industry such as AT&T and Verizon. From there, David was recruited to Circle L Solar to improve efficiency and streamline operations. David holds a bachelor’s in criminal justice administration and master’s in public administration. David’s 1st career after college was as a police officer in Northern California where he served over 15 years to public service. During that time, he held the positions of Patrol Officer, Gang and Narcotics Detective, SWAT Operator, Sniper, Team Leader, Patrol Sergeant, Street Crimes Sergeant and Training/Personnel Sergeant.
It is David’s passion for excellence, his belief in service and his high ethical standards that has helped shaped Circle L Solar and Circle L Roofing into the highly reviewed and successful company it is today.
Lukas Bouton
Chief Operating Officer
Lukas began his career in solar in 2015 following a successful career as a Head Tennis Professional and Division 1 College Head Coach. Growing up in Alaska, Lukas grew up with an awareness and love for sustainability and energy independence which drives his passion for the solar industry. After working in upper-level sales management for the largest solar company in the country, Lukas saw a need for more local, customer service driven solar companies who knew the market they were installing in and treated their customers like family. Starting in 2019 Lukas found that company in Circle L Solar and has been a driver for the continued growth of the company. In that time Circle L Solar has become a name synonymous with quality and unmatched customer experience, while earning the highest installer status with the biggest names in solar such as Enphase, Tesla, and FranklinWH. Lukas’s passion for solar and the desire to deliver the best product to the end user is what continues to drive him to make Circle L Solar the best solar business in America.
Lukas’s experience, passion for renewable energy, and wealth of knowledge in the industry have and continue to be some the main drivers of the success of Circle L Solar.
